Following the strong momentum of ADEX Singapore 2026, Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives continued its Southeast Asia roadshow with an exciting and successful presence at two of Indonesia’s most prestigious diving exhibitions: DRT (Diving Resort Travel Expo) Indonesia at ICE BSD, Tangerang, followed by DXI (Deep & Extreme Indonesia) at the Jakarta Convention Center.
As two of the country’s leading dive and adventure travel events, DRT Indonesia and DXI attract thousands of divers, instructors, dive centers, travel agencies, underwater photographers, marine conservationists, tourism professionals, and ocean enthusiasts from across Indonesia and the wider region. Participating in these back-to-back exhibitions was an important opportunity for Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives to introduce more Indonesian divers to one of the world’s most extraordinary diving destinations: Fuvahmulah, the Tiger Shark Capital of the World.
Indonesia is home to one of the world’s largest and most passionate diving communities. With countless active divers, well-established dive centers, and growing interest in international dive travel, it remains one of the most strategic markets for Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives.
As an Indonesian SSI Platinum Instructor and Sales & Marketing Executive representing Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives, returning home to participate in DRT Indonesia and DXI was especially meaningful for me. It was a valuable opportunity to reconnect with fellow Indonesian divers, communicate in our own language, better understand the needs of the local market, and introduce the remarkable underwater world of Fuvahmulah to the Indonesian diving community.
Throughout both exhibitions, we had the pleasure of meeting passionate recreational divers, instructors, dive center owners, travel agencies, trip leaders, underwater photographers, freedivers, and dive clubs from across Indonesia. These face-to-face conversations allowed us not only to strengthen existing relationships, but also to build many exciting new connections for future Maldives dive adventures.
One of the greatest highlights of both exhibitions was the opportunity for me to take the stage as a speaker on behalf of Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives.
As an Indonesian dive professional who now lives and works in the Maldives, it was incredibly rewarding to bridge these two worlds by sharing my personal experiences of diving, teaching, and living in Fuvahmulah. Being able to introduce fellow Indonesians to a destination I am truly passionate about made these presentations especially meaningful.
During both presentations, I shared why Fuvahmulah has earned its international reputation as the Tiger Shark Capital of the World and explained what makes this island unlike anywhere else in the Maldives. Key topics included:
The audience response was incredibly encouraging. Many visitors were discovering Fuvahmulah for the first time, while others who had already heard of the island were excited to learn more about our diving operation, accommodations, and carefully curated dive experiences. Being able to inspire divers from my home country to explore one of the world’s most unique shark diving destinations was undoubtedly one of the proudest moments of the exhibitions.
Although Fuvahmulah is globally celebrated for its exceptional tiger shark encounters, DRT Indonesia and DXI also gave us the opportunity to showcase the broader experiences offered by Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives.
Visitors learned about our thoughtfully designed Maldives itineraries, including our popular combination packages featuring Fuvahmulah together with Dhangethi in South Ari Atoll. These itineraries allow guests to experience an incredible variety of marine life and underwater adventures within one seamless journey.
Highlights include:
By combining two unique destinations into one itinerary, guests can enjoy one of the most complete diving holidays available in the Maldives.
Beyond connecting with divers, both exhibitions served as exceptional platforms for developing long-term business relationships. Throughout DRT Indonesia and DXI, we met with:
These discussions opened exciting possibilities for future collaborations, including group dive travel, educational expeditions, photography workshops, media partnerships, and long-term B2B relationships.
Many visitors also expressed strong interest in our exclusive partner program, which includes confidential B2B rates, attractive commission structures, flexible itineraries, and complete operational support throughout the Maldives. Our goal is not simply to receive bookings, but to build meaningful long-term partnerships where both businesses can grow together while delivering unforgettable experiences to divers.
One of the most valuable aspects of participating in both exhibitions was gaining deeper insight into the evolving Indonesian dive travel market.
Being Indonesian allowed me to have more personal conversations with visitors, better understand the expectations of local divers, and discuss how Maldives experiences can be tailored specifically for Indonesian travelers. While Indonesia is already home to many world-renowned dive destinations, we found that an increasing number of divers are now seeking premium overseas adventures that offer something truly different.
Fuvahmulah answers that demand perfectly. Rather than focusing only on coral reef diving, the island offers consistent encounters with some of the ocean’s most iconic pelagic species, creating experiences that very few destinations in the world can match.
Visitors also appreciated our commitment to responsible wildlife interactions, professional dive operations, personalized hospitality through Cozy Hotels Maldives, and our ongoing marine conservation initiatives. These conversations further reinforced Indonesia’s importance as one of Cozy Scuba Club’s strongest international markets for future growth.
For Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives, participating in DRT Indonesia and DXI was about much more than presenting our products. It was an opportunity to educate, inspire, exchange ideas, strengthen friendships, and build lasting relationships with one of Asia’s most passionate diving communities.
Representing Cozy Scuba Club as an Indonesian professional working in the Maldives made the experience even more special. It was a privilege to introduce fellow Indonesians to a destination that has become my second home and to share firsthand stories that inspire future adventures beneath the surface.
As we conclude another successful series of international exhibitions, we return to the Maldives inspired by the incredible enthusiasm shown by Indonesia’s diving community.
The relationships built during ADEX Singapore, DRT Indonesia, and DXI Indonesia have created exciting opportunities for new partnerships, future group expeditions, and stronger collaboration throughout Southeast Asia. As an Indonesian representing Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives, I am incredibly proud to serve as a bridge between Indonesia and the Maldives—connecting divers from my home country with one of the world’s most extraordinary diving destinations.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who visited our booth, attended our presentations, and took the time to learn more about Fuvahmulah. We look forward to welcoming many more Indonesian divers to experience the thrill of tiger shark diving, the beauty of the Maldives, and the warm hospitality of Cozy Scuba Club & Cozy Hotels Maldives.
See you soon in Fuvahmulah — the Tiger Shark Capital of the World.
