How to Get to Fuvahmulah Island: A Comprehensive Travel Guide

Fuvahmulah Island is located approximately 352 kilometers southwest of Velana International Airport (MLE), commonly known as Malé Airport. The most efficient way to reach Fuvahmulah from Malé is via domestic flight. These flights, operated primarily by Maldivian, take approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes and run daily. As part of our dive packages, we include domestic flights to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.

Domestic Flights Schedule:

Male to Fuvahmulah          Q2124/ Departure time 15:05

Duration: Domestic Flight (1hr & 25 minutes)

1. Fuvahmulah Scuba Club is located approximately 1hr & 25 minutes by Domestic Flight (from VelanaInternational Airport to Fuvahmulah Airport).

2. Domestic transfers will be arranged by Fuvahmulah Scuba Club, Our partners & guests must make all flight reservations through the Fuvahmulah Scuba Club.

3. All passengers will be allowed 25 kg’s of free baggage as checked baggage and 05kg’s as hand baggage, additional weight will be charged US$5.00 per kg.

4. Please note that neither Fuvahmulah Scuba Club nor the transfer provider shall be held liable for any claims arising from missed international flights, due to delay of Domestic transfer caused by adverse weather conditions, force majeure and acts of God.

Alternative Routes:

1. Via Gan International Airport: If you are in the southernmost atoll of Addu (Gan), you can take RTL Ferry from Gan to Fuvahmulah. This journey typically takes about 1 hour and is a scenic option for those already in the southern Maldives.
2. Private Charter Options: For a more exclusive and personalized experience, private charters can be arranged by air or sea. These options are ideal for groups or travelers seeking flexibility in their travel schedules.

No Direct Ferries from Malé: Currently, there are no direct public ferry services between Malé and Fuvahmulah due to the distance and logistical constraints. Flights remain the most practical and time-saving option for reaching the island.

After completing immigration screening upon arrival at Malé International Airport, please proceed to the main exit gate. Upon arrival at Fuvahmulah Island Airport, our team will transfer you to the hotel, where you will be greeted with refreshing welcome drinks. After a brief orientation, you can relax and settle in. For divers, dive equipment crates will be conveniently placed in front of the hotel for easy access as you prepare for the following day's dive.

During your stay, enjoy full-board meals daily at AIG Grand Cuisine. We also provide transportation services, including transfers between the hotel and the harbor for daily dives, as well as a drop-off service to the airport for your departure.
